Hi, I'm Senyan Luo. A designer experimenting with pixels and code. I step into ambiguity before it becomes obvious, where being resourceful and thinking on your feet is the only way through. Try, test, learn, repeat.
When not working, I’m usually out city walking. I pick up inspiration from the space I'm in: the buildings, the objects I encounter, and the people I quietly observe. Outside of that, playing squash is my main competitive outlet, running keeps me sane, and reading keeps me curious.

Principal Designer
I publish creative utilities for Framer and Figma, including creative coding components, plugins, software as a template (SAAT), and UI kits. I also lead end to end product design on select client projects.
Art of the Cart
OCT 2022 – OCT 2025
Product Designer
I was the first full time hire at Art of the Cart. I worked closely with the creative director to build the studio’s digital product design practice. I led product design across our eCommerce, startup, and public sector projects.

Adjunct Faculty
Taught graduate students to design and code using p5.js, a creative coding JavaScript library. Teaching is part of my practice. It forces clarity and enriches my creative toolset.

Design Apprentice
I had my first designer role at Don Norman’s Design Lab at UCSD. This is where I learned to slow down, observe behavior, and ask better questions before jumping to conclusions. This apprenticeship fundamentally changed how I think about design and what I want from my career.

This isn't me endorsing everything about these sites, it's just my way of tipping my hat to the talented folks whose work helped shape my own digital space. Their uniqueness in an increasingly cookie-cutter internet reminded me that personal websites can still be refreshingly individual.
